The Valley Dance Theatre, a non-profit ballet company located in the Livermore-Amador Valley, was founded in 1980 and is directed by Betsy Hausburg. The company was formed to provide talented dancers with performance opportunities and to bring quality dance performances for children and adults to the Valley at prices affordable by all. The Valley Dance Theatre is comprised of dancers ranging in age from pre-teen through adult. Dancers and staff work on a volunteer basis. The company is supported by fund raising, private donations, ticket sales, and grants. Performances are held throughout the year at community events and each December the company presents its special production of 'The Nutcracker." Classes are offered for all levels of classical ballet, pointe, and partnering.

CLASSES

Company class is held each Monday and Thursday evening from 6:15 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Company class is open to non-company dancers upon taking an audition class. Classes and rehearsals are at the School of the Valley Dance Theatre, 2247-B Second Street, Livermore, CA 94550.
